Juan Jesús Maya aka Aktorse was born in Almeria, Spain, in 1984. He is a DJ turned producer and a true electronic music lover.
Aktorse’s origins lay in the cassettes and vinyls popular in Spain’s 90’s club scene, where his musical curiosity was awakened. In the early 2000’s Aktorse began to develop his own style and with it, his growing reputation in southern Spain. Around 2004-2005 he could be found playing in the biggest clubs around the region and was a regular at events by Four Play Collective.
It was in 2008 when Aktorse looked to broaden his horizons with a move to Ibiza, a move that would turn a rising DJ into an aspiring producer. Encouraged by the fresh sounds of Ibiza and his close friends in the industry, namely Unknowk, Aktorse returned to Almeria full of energy and quickly began producing.
