Charles Moset

Madrid, end of the nineties; Carlos (aka Charles Moset) was being struck, seduced and stunned by Madrid’s underground electronic music scene. He started following some of the city’s leading DJs and promoters, including Angel Garcia (The Room), Roberto Rodriguez (Week-End), or JL Magoya (Deep) and was instantly influenced by their music. He acquired a couple of Technics and a mixer and began to collect vinyls at Madrid’s leading record shops, like the legendary AMA Records, where he played on several occasions.

From then on, Carlos continued developing his technique and style. He began to share his unique musical sense playing at different clubs, raves, and festivals. He created sets that reflected a wide variety of musical genres ranging from house, deep-techno, dub, broken beats, and disco. These styles would alternate depending on the moment and the atmosphere of the crowd.

Carlos has played in different important venues in Madrid (Nature and Deep), Barcelona (Sónar Beach Party), Valencia (Mogambo), Palma de Mallorca (Culture Club), and London (Rhythm Factory and Cafe 1001), where he currently resides. He has also collaborated on projects such as Planet Mambo Club (Madrid) and Bedroom 54 (London).

Carlos is currently investing some time in the studio producing tracks alongside his brother Mario (aka Oiram Gar) for their own upcoming record label: Eloquence Music. In this exciting project, Mario and Carlos are producing electronic music under the pseudonym Dr. Palunski & Mr. Group.

Funky, soulful and beautifully simple, best describes NifuNifa Records latest release by Violent Romance.

Musician and producer August Jakobsen, aka Violent Romance, slow electronic beats while using atmospheric keys and dubby pulses for his latest creation ‘Just Enough’.

The original version shows Violent Romance’s unique brand of elegant deep chill with a twist. Accompanying remix from Oiram Gar infuses the track with a basey futurism, while Charles Moset takes the dub to another level with his interpretation.

Releasing on not-for-profit record label ‘NifuNifa Records’; proceeds from sales of the Just Enough EP will go, in full, to the label’s chosen children’s education charity of the year – Borntolearn in Tanzania for 2016.
