Just under a year ago another record label launched in London, but this wasn’t any ordinary record label – it had, at its essence, a mission to use music as a platform for positive change. Nifu Nifa Records donates 100% of profits to support children’s education charities in developing countries.
Over the past 11 months, Nifu Nifa has gathered distinctive DJs and innovative producers, as well as some of the most exciting emergent artists from the electronic music scene. Now the label’s musical collective and charitable mission has lead it to London’s most famous nightclub, as Nifu Nifa is hosted by WetYourSelf (WYS) at Fabric on Sunday, October 11th.
“To have a dedicated event at Fabric less than a year after launching Nifu Nifa is a fantastic achievement. I’d like to thank the guys from WYS and everyone who has supported the project, the more support we get the more we can assist great charities around the world”, said Nordin Marzok Ali, co-founder of Nifu Nifa records.
Profits from digital releases and artist’s rights, together with those coming from these regular fundraising events in 2015 will be donated to the Educate-Me organisation in Egypt, while profits in 2016 have been allocated to ‘BornToLearn’ in Tanzania. Each year a worthy children’s education charity will be chosen to receive the donation.
See you at Fabric on October 11th!
